We're pleased to offer the following services in our Carthage Veterinary Clinic:
We currently do not make appointments for routine wellness or sick visits. We see clients on a first come first serve basis. Surgeries and grooming are done by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority.
For your convenience, drop-off's are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours or throughout the day while you are at work. We will allow you to drop off as early as 7:30 in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between clients.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 7 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. Please call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Animal Medical Center of Panola County accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide treatment plans for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received a treatment plan, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
We provide discounted services for members of the 4H club and FFA association. Please call for more information.

We only accept walk-ins. Appointments are reserved for surgeries or large animal services.
We are closed on Fridays from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm for staff development. Veterinarians are available 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
