We have made the difficult decision to go to drop-off and curbside only, following the AVMA and TVMA guidelines. We understand that this is difficult. We know your pet is part of your family, and we appreciate the trust you have placed in us. We also prefer the face-to-face visit, but in these unprecedented times, we must take every precaution necessary to ensure the safety of our employees and clients, as well as ensuring that our business can remain open.
For drop-offs, you may call (903) 693-7166 (Carthage location) or (903) 657-7120 (Henderson location) when you arrive, and a receptionist will get you checked in. Please fill out a history form. (You can print a history form from our website, amcpanolavet.com. You can also find blank copies on the ledge between the front doors of the clinic at the Carthage location.) A staff member will come to get your pet, and then we will call you when he/she is ready to go. We will then discuss any pertinent findings and treatments.
For patients waiting to see the veterinarian, please call (903) 693-7166 (Carthage location) or 903-657-7120 (Henderson location) upon arrival and the receptionist will get you checked in. Please fill out a history form. (You can print a history form from our website, amcpanolavet.com. You can also find blank copies on the ledge between the front doors of the clinic at the Carthage location.) When it is your pet’s turn, a staff member will come to get him/her and the form. We will then offer several options so you are informed of our findings:
- Once temperature and weight have been taken, we can call you and place you on speaker while we conduct the exam.
- We can call you after the exam to discuss findings and recommendations.
- For minor conditions or healthy pets, a staff member can discuss findings when we return your pet to you.
For payment, you can give the receptionist your credit card information over the phone, or you can send your credit card, check, or cash with the staff member who brings your pet to the vehicle.
For prescription refills or food, please call ahead and we will do our best to have it waiting on you. When you arrive at the clinic, call (903) 693-7166 (Carthage location) or (903) 657-7120 (Henderson location). The receptionist will take your payment and have the medications/food delivered to your vehicle, or you may send your payment with our staff member who delivers the medications/food.
In addition to these measures, we have divided our staff into two teams that will not have contact with each other. Therefore, should one team member test positive for COVID-19 and all of those coworkers are ordered to self-isolate, the other team can continue serving our clients. This does mean we are short-staffed every day, and we ask for your patience.
Thank you for entrusting the care of your pets to us!
